Linux - Eminent Choice Or Not?
Technology is everywhere! Technology is so broad, right? So for now let us just tackle about operating system specifically about Linux. Linux nowadays sounds so monotonous because everywhere you go you can hear a word or two about its different downloads and different programs. And the good thing is it was offered for free. However, even there will come a time that some of them will come for a price still it doesn't seem to be a worry for many existing Linux users out there.
Many of these users have actually migrated from their previous operating system and you can hear a lot of comment from them. One particular lady in a workplace complained that she is getting annoyed and quite fed up with how her present operating system works and she's thinking of migrating to Linux. Well, I guess the migration is sure very fast for she's not using Linux software.
However,to know more about Linux, you need to take a look around first. Are your present software can be compatible to the new OS? Will they'll be more intuitive, user-friendly and worry-free?
With Linux, mostly of the software is actually for free. But are you don't bother with this? Have you ever asked yourself if it is safe? Because a according to another colleague, you need to watch out if you're planning to use Linux. The more "freebie" it becomes, the more it is prone to some viruses or malicious software or programs something like that.
Another thing to consider is the commands that Linux has. Since it is new, there's a possibility that some of its commands are different from your old OS. You have to get familiar with it first and then see to it that it has some sort of a familiar environment with your previous operating system. In that way, you won't be caught something like grasping for breath because you have experienced a shock after suddenly switching to something you aren't familiar with yet. So, it would be better to check everything out in order to get all things done - safely.
Anyhow, if you think you are ready enough to switch and try something new, then better opt for something that have positive feedbacks. Try to look at the bright side of your choice. Don't worry too much about some adverse comments, for as long as you know that you, yourself can handle any problems that may occur (we could never really get rid of any unexpected failures). Consider the point that Linux has been very congenial to its users and is very friendly to the budget too. You won't have to fret since some of its software are still offered for free (to download and to use as well).
The first best thing that you should do is to read more reviews. Go to sites that has recommendations and some know-hows about Linux and it's corresponding software. Find out if your present programs can work with Linux. Users of the other OS sometimes complain about little things like how their pretty and petty card game can't work on Linux!
For a piece of advice, before you weigh the odds, see the possibilities first. It is very important that you are comfortable with your decision so that in the end you'll not regret it like a disgruntled and dissatisfied user of another OS might really try Linux out and even though he needs to get used to different Linux commands. The point here is if you're sick and get tired with what you have, go for the next one and with Linux, it seems they're just doing that. Try everything which makes you satisfied!
